body type;; . Des has a very weak immune system and gets sick often, but he tries to take better care of himself by taking vitamins and eating healthy because it’s important that he stays healthy and look his best right now. He’s a very skinny boy with very little muscle, but he does try to make himself out to be bigger than he really is. He’s very short, standing at just 5’7, and just over 100 pounds. He hates being called short, so often he’ll wear shoes with a larger heel just so that he can stand out better.
Des is in love with the skater fashion. This boy enjoys clothes created by Pac Sun. This probably explains his laid back style. He’s very obsessed with t-shirts and jeans and hates dressing up. He’s very laid back and shy, so anything that would make him stand out too much would be a big no-no. Often, he finds himself trying on clothes when he’s in the privacy of his home, but other than that, it is a simple t-shirt and jeans or sweats.

personality;; Destin has been called a really nice guy. He's nice to everyone, very humble, and he's always himself. He has excellent values and he's a great role model. He can be a bit goofy and fun when he's just hanging out with people but when he sings he's very mature. After all, music is his everything! All his life, Des was referred to as being "painfully shy" and a "follow your bliss kind of guy". Little does many people know just how loud and obnoxious he can get when he's around the ones he loves.
Destin is very religious. As a result, in order to shake any pre-performance jitters, he prays. He is the kind of guy who just likes to "hang low." He doesn't believe or feed into all of the celebrity hype. Destin is a very modest person and shows it on a regular basis. In public, anyway. Des is a very random person! He thinks of random things and can blurt them out at very random times. His fish are named Conditioner, Camdooble, Glub, and Jamzie. If that isn’t random enough to explain what I mean, there’s something very wrong. Destin is also a very homesick person. There are times that he truly misses his family and even tries to contact them, with no such luck. He’s a very shy person, so trying to reach out to someone like that is hard to come by…but when he has something to say, watch out. getting in deep;;
father;; Jeff Acel mother;; Lupe Acel siblings;; Jazz Acel(25), Chandra Acel(16), Amber Acel(14)
history;; Destin is the second oldest of four children, all of which were very in tune with their Latino decent, thanks to their mother, Lupe.
Destin has always been raised in a very musical environment. He started singing around seven years old, started performing in front of people at age ten, and has taken singing lessons on and off since he was 12. His parents are both musicians. Destin's mom and sister are singers, his dad a jazz trumpet player. Being the musically inclined family, it's obvious that his musical talents would soar. For Des, an attention to music began one day at age 7 when his father put on a “Les Misérables” tape. He was drawn to the tape and has loved music ever since. He finally started singing at age 7, but stopped for several years when it was discovered that he had a paralyzed vocal cord. It nearly broke his heart, being that his life seemed to stop all because of something as small as this. After thinking on it for a long time, Destin quickly declined risky surgery and feels he is nearly funny recovered, but he still worries from time to time.
His parents always thought there was something different about Destin. He’d always been the one that Jazz had spent her time doing makeovers on, being the first born after her, so he was the target of her creative measures. His father was always very furious about seeing his son decked out in dresses and makeup, but eventually, Des started getting used to the supposed ‘makeovers’. Des had always spent his time in high school with the nerds and the drama gleeks, making him a far from normal male in his parent’s standards. Because he was musically inclined and very talented though, they signed it off as just being creatively different. Did they know that their son spent his time secretly staring at boys over the top of his books? Of course not. The things they were the most afraid of were homosexuals, after all. The outcasts of the music and art world.
Des seemed to have his entire sexuality drama under control after he got older, he started spending more time out at night to give his parents the illusion that he was on dates and was always having girls around the house for the show…of course, his parents didn’t know that they were just close friends. Half the time, they were even lesbians that just pitied him and his situation. Things were quite empty but simple in his life and he began to accept the fact that he was to live without a true love…until a boy with glitter and leather made his way into the youth’s life…and unfortunately for his parents, his heart. He’d been around for his elder sister, which was wonderful at first…until things started taking a turn for the worst. Or better, in his mind. Kuro had started spending time in his room just to talk. Something about the male was so charismatic and understanding, it was as if he knew the struggle. But how could he? He was dating his sister, after all.
After a few painful weeks of watching Kuro and his sister seem to hit it off, things took an unexpected turn. He’d been pulled aside and quickly, things started to be confessed. One thing lead to another…literally…and a secret relationship was formed. Not that Des minded in the least bit. That is, until they were caught fooling around in the backyard by no one but his sister. Kuro’s supposed girlfriend. Quickly he was disowned and thrown out on his ass, being written off as a legal adult at the young age of 17. Having nowhere else to go, Kuro stuck by his side against all odds and made life seem a little more bearable. Of course, being that the two stuck together until the end helped that when they left and their few close friends followed, karma seemed to look to their favor. They were signed after a while of very hard times and things seemed livable again. Sure, he had no family to consider home…just Kuro and his few band mates. That was all he needed though, right? let's see what you got;;
rp sample;; Moving to tug on a pinkish strand of hair as it fell into her face, Dite stared off over the island in her kitchen at the cupboard with a rather smug smile on her pretty face. For once, she had decided to be out of her usual persona and make a nice dinner for herself and her boyfriend. Maybe it was because she'd needed an excuse to be the cutesy Aphrodite James, maybe it was because for once she just wanted to make Meeka smile at the fact that she did indeed know how to cook. Either way, here she sat limply on her counter, staring at the wood door as it hung just above her reach.
Dite felt a soft sigh escape her lips as the realization that she'd never reach the high cupboard by herself and lifted off of the white counter in search to find a chair. She was strong....independant....beautiful. Damn right she could conquer the war she had with her height compared to the distance she would need to reach to claim her prize. Olive oil that she could have sworn she'd told Meeka to keep on a lower shelf. Standing at a rather short five foot four inches, Dite let an irritated growl ripple through her body as she jumped a few times, trying to grab the knub of a handle that poked out from the cupboard door.
After a few more tries at grabbing hold of the knob, Aphrodite felt her patience slowly slip away and forced herself to move back to the pan of stir-fry she was most certain she was starting to burn. Letting her eyes drift over to the couch where Meeka was seated lazily, Dite smirked slightly and leaned her hip against the counter slightly as she turned down the heat on the stove top. "Meeka!" she whined softly, letting her voice dip quickly into a rather soft and pouty tone. "Come do something for me." She added, turning to pull her long hair over one shoulder and crossing her arms over her chest quickly as she stood in her fake helpless stance.
Waiting until her boyfriend made his way slowly into their small kitchen, Dite looked him over and smiled at how tall he was. "Perfect." she whispered softly, moving forward to press a manicured finger to his cheek softly to turn his head just a bit as if she were inspecting him. "If you loved me, you'd lift me up so I can get the oil out of the cupboard." She said easily with a shrug before shoving him in the direction of the height she needed to reach. "Besides, it's all your fault that I can't reach it anyway. You should eat burnt food for this. I told you to put it on a lower shelf, Meeka Brown." Instantly she frowned at how much she sounded like her mother just then.
