history;; Aria was born on the tough side of Detroit. Her mother and father were young when they had her. They were struggling to make ends meet and having a baby made it harder to reach that goal. Kelsey worked as a bar maid while Marcus worked wherever he can find a job. Even at a very young age, Aria showed a deep fascination for music. She liked to bang pots and sing cute baby gibberish. When Aria was two, Marcus got a steady job as a janitor. It wasn't a great job, but it paid most of the bills. About a year into the job, Marcus was fired for no reason. Angry, Marcus retreated to the bars. There, he got drunk, fought and arrested. Soon, it became a system. Marcus came to a point where he didn't care about his family anymore. When he was home he would punch the daylights out of anything. Usually his target was Kelsey. Soon, he moved on to Aria, who was about six by the time he grew tired of abusing her mother. This went on and on and on. Finally, when Aria was in sixth grade, Marcus drunk himself to death. During Aria's fifth grade, she secretly ducked into the bathroom to cut herself, to make it all go away. Then she got caught. When her mother found out, she sent Aria to a therapist. It didn't really work. Aria kept her mouth shut and refused to talk to anyone.
High school was definitely her hell on earth. She was constantly picked on. Mainly the girls did. Aria got in trouble, fights and did drugs. When her mother found out about her daughter's lifestyle, she sent Aria to live with her aunt in California. It didn't really help. She grew more distant and refused to speak to anyone. She really missed the surly, volatile city she called Detroit. She missed mostly everything. She really didn't like the sunny Pasadena city. She liked the warm summers and the frigid winters back in Michigan. High school in Cali was way worse. She was always singled out because she wasn't athletic or into this or that. To bide her time, she wrote songs and played with her aunt's grand piano. At school she didn't make any friends. She learned to play piano and moved on to guitar, thanks to her aunt with whom she grew really close with during that time.
When she graduated high school, she went to college for a degree in business. Soon she found it hard to keep up with her classes and dropped out. For a few months she lived in her car and sometimes found herself in some stranger's home after a party. She made a few friends, but the friendships didn't really last long. Then she got a good job and finally got an apartment of her own, which obviously has a good view of a sunset. She met her future band mates at a club that they were playing in. She really liked them and caught up with the lead singer after the show. They talked for a while and became good friends afterwards. Later on, Kris asked her to join the band. Obviously, she gladly accepted.

let's see what you got;;
rp sample;; The bright sunlight streamed through the blinds in slits. The ever-annoying sound of the alarm clock aroused Aria. With a groan she sat up and turned it off. It was 7:30. Aria had forgotten why she set the alarm. Rubbing her tired eyes, she made her way to her bathroom which had the paraphernalia of a hair salon. She grabbed a brush and yanked it through her hair. It looked a like haystack. Once she was finished her hair was somewhat smooth and the bristles were full of hair. Aria looked at herself in the mirror. Her face was streaked with mascara and eye liner. She looked like a racoon after it went through a water park. She snatched a towel off the rack and tried to clean off most of the make up. When she got it all off, she walked over to her bed and fell backwards on it. It was too early to be up.
Aria couldn't fall back to sleep, so she went to the living room and turned on the tv. She flipped through channel after channel, nothing good was on. Sighing in a dramatic way, she trudged back to her bedroom. She opened her closet door to find something to wear. It took her while, but she finally found something to wear. She wore her favorite pair of jeans, flared and ripped in some places, along with a Def Leppard tee with one sleeve hanging off her shoulder and her trusty leather jacket. Leaning forward towards the mirror she carefully tried to put on her make-up.
When she was finally done, she rode the elevator down to the ground floor. It was a pretty sunny day in Pasadena. Aria watched the sun-tanned residents strut by her and pretend she wasn't there. She hated those kind of people that ignore others as if they were nothing but dog crap. She wandered off to the park. There, she took a seat in a vacant bench, wishing she had enough money for a plane ticket back to Detroit. Though she had terrible memories waiting to be rekindled, she loved the city. She loved the old, almost-crumbling buildings. She loved the zoo. She loved the original Motown Records. She remembered how she used to go there every day. Her thoughts then turned to her mother. It's been a long while since Aria had seen her. Too long. Maybe she should take her phone out and call her.
Smiling about that idea, Aria took out her phone from her back pocket. The phone was pretty hi-tech and it was the second thing Aria loved. She dialed her mom's number. She never liked going to her contacts. Besides, that's how most people forget phone numbers. When she was done dialing, she pressed the phone to her ear. It rang once. Twice. Three time. Four. It went on until the call went to voice-mail.
"Hey, mom. It's Aria. Just wanted to say hello. Miss you. 'Bye," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. With a heavy heart she returned the phone to her pocket. Aria sighed and slumped down on her seat. Inside, she felt sad and angry. Sad because her mom didn't pick up. Angry because her mother was probably ignoring her.
Aria heard children's voices and turned her head to where it was. She saw to brunette boys with their mother. They looked exactly like their mom. Watching the boys bond with their mom stabbed Aria in the heart. Her mom never played with her. Ever. She bit her lip and tried not to cry. She never cried in public. Aria preferred to fall apart in the comfort of her own home. She stood up and stomped back to her apartment.
